It's a sad day ladies and gentleman. Mr. Patrick Swayze passed away yesterday. I can't say that I grew up with him. I can't say that I've even seen Dirty Dancing. I can say that I loved his role in The Outsiders. He played Darry perfectly. If anyone disagrees please leave a comment on this post. I'd be happy to ignore your opinion.
So, while I can't say that Patrick and I were close personal friends, I can say that I developed a closeness to the Swayze that most people don't enjoy. I want everyone to know that he was the background on my desktop before he died. I liked Patrick Swayze before it was cool to like Patrick Swayze. I know I'm not the only one. To those of you who also lament the passing of Mr. Swayze, my condolences go out to you. To the man with this tattoo of Patrick Swayze, I would say that it is possible to have too much of a good thing.
I liked the Swayze more with human legs. He just doesn't seem the centaur type to me.
In closing, I'd like to congratulate Mr. Zach Wagner on being Man of the Week. We are all deeply indebted to you for organizing Dude Ranch intramural sports. Diverging here for a moment, the Dude Ranch flag football team has their first game tonight at 9:15. I encourage you all to come. There has been a lot of preseason hype. We are currently ranked number one on ESPN's preseason intramural poll. I hope we can live up to the expectation. Back to Mr. Wagner. I took a picture of him to put up on the blog, but I haven't been able to figure out how to put it on my computer, and Papa Wheely isn't around to let me use his computer. I solved this problem by googling Zach Wagner. This is a picture of Zach Wagner. He might not be our Zach Wagner, but he is a Zach Wagner. Here's to you ZWAG. You're a real man.
